by the way, i just rereleased my first book (and now i’m thinking about what comes next)

AKA: Holy links, Batman! I’m referring you to all over my cyber footprint with this one.

After some pit stops and off-roading, What’s Your Vibe? is back and ready to read (more info on that journey here, if you’re so inclined, or perhaps if you have nothing else going on today and prefer old-school blogging to doomscrolling).

If you participated in my first rodeo, feel free to stick with the book’s original run. But if you want the new cover, some fresh edits, a couple of better turns-of-phrase, or just to help me out with royalties, check out WYV 2: Electric Boogaloo.

(Not its official title, so whoever’s responsible for Breakin’ 2, don’t come for me; I have nothing left to give. It’ll be a real “Damn, bitch, you live like this?” moment for you and then we’ll all be embarrassed.)

I’m excited/happy/relieved to have WYV out there again, and I’m feeling less deep in the rut of creative output, too. Next up for edits and a reissue is How to Survive a Teen Sex Comedy—I’ve got my eye on another 2026 release date—and then we’re on to new projects.

Books 3 and 4 in this not-a-series* are coming together in various stages of themes and playlists and notes and outlines. So with any luck and a lot of emotional spirals, I’m sure, my goal is 2027 for both.

[*Not-a-series because it’s not, technically, but it does share recurring locations, characters, and motifs, and frankly I don’t know what else to call it.]

I’ll likely have another book coming before then, though—somewhere between How to Survive a Teen Sex Comedy and Book 3—since right now the foundation of the latter has the structural integrity of a Weeble Wobble, and working on something else usually helps.

And, as of about a week ago, I have something else on my mind that’s taking shape as a surrealist stoner comedy, featuring an ace spectrum FMC and the conventions of erotic romance novels.

Welcome to the will-be-regrettable time management choices I’ll lament when I’m slammin’ another energy drink at 8:30 P.M., and oh well.

Because, yes, I’m feeling better and less stuck, but still rusty. Too rusty to tackle some of the heavier subject matter in Books 3 and 4. Nothing gets my groove back like a break-the-fourth-wall comedy with a dash of romance, so it’s about time I write my own.

That’s about it on the agenda for this blog post. Give the refreshed What’s Your Vibe? a spin, commission my cover artists, or just throw all of us some cash, we don’t mind, and stay tuned for whatever I decide I’m doing next.

And remember: If you see WYV on Amazon, I didn’t put it there. Buy it from anywhere at the aforementioned link, request it at your library, keep checking Queer Liberation Library (it should be there soon, if not now, depending on when you read this), but I’m not giving fuckin’ Bezos any more of my business.

And also remember: Word-of-mouth is the most effective marketing. If you like what I do, tell your friends, share my posts, follow me across the internet—because as much as I love doing my own thing, I still can’t do it alone.
